‘Goodbye Germany’ star Lisa Reyes faces 20 years in prison: Husband Robert admits criminal activity

Lisa Reyes, known from the show “Goodbye Germany”, had imagined her new life in the USA so well. Together with her American husband Robert Reyes (38) and their two sons, Niklas (5) and Elijah (2), she wanted to realize her dream of a small farm. But her husband’s past seems to thwart her long-cherished plans. Last year, Robert Reyes was accused by the US Department of Justice of being one of three political activists who allegedly misled various campaign donors and then enriched themselves from the donations. He is said to be worth a total of around US$3.5 million.

So far Robert Reyes, who faces up to 125 years in prison, has not publicly commented on the allegations. Or so believed Lisa Reyes, who only discovered on Instagram that her husband had confessed partial guilt only hours earlier.

Robert Reyes admits partial guilt

“A Californian man (Robert Reyes) pleaded guilty yesterday in the Western District of Texas to making millions of dollars in contributions to two political action committees based on false and misleading representations in favor of…candidates for presidency during and after the 2016 election cycle. The corresponding sentence has not yet been determined, but after the partial confession, there is now talk of a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Completely desperate, the influencer then told her followers via Instagram today: “Dear friends, I am deeply shocked by what I must have discovered on the ‘Gossip’ pages on Instagram last night. I did not of words…” A little later Lisa Reyes personally with her fans. “I don’t even know where to start. I don’t even know what to think,” she tells them. “All I know is that I didn’t know anything about it,” she said, alluding to her husband’s criminal activities. And further: “We only recently talked about trust, honesty and respect for the partner and that sometimes we don’t have that. And yes, that’s exactly what I mean by that. I actually have to find something like this from a page on Instagram.” Lisa Reyes does not yet know what will happen to the young family after the partial confession of Robert Reyes. She is staying in Germany for the time being.
